Huzzah!

I'm probably the last one to find out, but I just heard that Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book won the 2009 Newbery Medal.

I'm always pleased to see Gaiman's work getting attention, because I think he was vastly underrated for a long time. If you haven't read The Graveyard Book, I highly, highly recommend it. I would suggest reading it for yourself before giving it to your kid to read, though...as usual, it's a little dark. But lovely!
